NEET Physics
Medical-entrance aspirants, alongside Grades 11–12
Quantitative139 topics
- What this covers, and what it does not
- Bounded strictly by the rationalised NCERT Classes 11–12, and sequenced in NCERT's own chapter order — which is why ray optics reaches total internal reflection and optical fibres before it reaches lenses, unlike JEE's topic-block grouping, and why electrostatics is split across two units exactly as NCERT splits it into Electric Charges and Fields and Electrostatic Potential and Capacitance. Excludes rolling motion, the physical pendulum, dynamic lift and the fluid statics-versus-dynamics framing — JEE-only material outside the NCERT boundary, and lightning, which NCERT does not treat as a topic. Retains the descriptive free-fall and hydraulic-machinery chapters JEE drops, because NEET tests them as recall. Current electricity follows NCERT's chapter 3 and stops where NCERT does — no RC time constants, which NEET does not test. Magnetism follows NCERT's Moving Charges and Magnetism and Electromagnetic Induction chapters; Maxwell's equations belong to NCERT's separate Electromagnetic Waves chapter, whose spectrum content this Program already covers in its Waves level, so they are not repeated here. Thermal physics follows NCERT's own chapter order — Thermal Properties of Matter, then Thermodynamics, then Kinetic Theory — so the molecular account of gases arrives after the laws rather than before them, the reverse of JEE's grouping. Gauss's law, the electric dipole, the Wheatstone bridge, the potentiometer, the Biot–Savart law, alternating-current circuits and the p–V treatment of thermodynamic processes are on the NEET syllabus but not yet authored, as are semiconductor devices. NCERT's Dual Nature of Radiation and Matter and Atoms chapters are authored and appear here as two separate units in that chapter order, carrying the photoelectric effect, the wave nature of matter with DavissonâGermer, the Bohr model and the hydrogen spectrum â the same four chapters JEE takes, which NCERT splits across two chapters where JEE groups them into one block. The rest of the Quantum Physics module â blackbody radiation, the double-slit experiment, the wavefunction, the uncertainty principle and tunnelling â is not NCERT material and is excluded. Of the Relativity module only the mass–energy relation appears here, because that is the only part of it NCERT teaches — inside its Nuclei chapter rather than as relativity.
- How you are assessed
- Single-correct MCQ only, negative marking, NCERT line-item coverage gate before mock papers. Recall speed weighted over derivation.
- You finish able to
- Answer the NEET physics section at exam pace inside the NCERT boundary, trading derivation depth for coverage and recall.
